Protect Your Smile
A sealant is a clear, plastic-like material that is placed on the chewing surface of the back teeth. This coating prevents food and bacteria from collecting in the pits where decay is likely to occur. Adult molars typically erupt at the ages of 6 and 12 years old, this is the ideal age range to place sealants.
The teeth are carefully checked to ensure there are no cavities present.
All surfaces are cleaned thoroughly and dried.
An etch material is placed in the grooves and pits of the molars for only a few seconds before rinsing.
The teeth are dried again and isolated before the sealant material is placed in the appropriate areas. The sealant material is then cured with a blue LED dental light, and you are left with a clean, smooth surface to protect your molars from cavities.

My girls were very nervous about getting their teeth cleaned because they didn’t know what to expect. Tamara made them both very comfortable and explained everything she was going to do before she did it. She taught them how to properly brush their teeth and answered all their questions. The girls loved their experience and thought Tamara was really nice. When we leave Tamara’s office, my girls always ask when they get to visit again. My whole family goes to Tamara and I highly recommend her, she is the best hygienist I have ever been to.

Tamara is skilled and friendly. She dealt with my 2 and 4 year old so well, getting them comfortable and excited about cleaning their teeth. Personally, it's the most pain-free appointment I’ve ever had. I highly recommend for families with young kids and adults who want a skilled and knowledgeable hygienist.
